Since there is such a thing as a good bondage tape (Sally Roberts in Bondage, Happy Birthday Bondage-Gram, The Trap, etc.), we have plenty to compare these two featurette tapes to. Now I'm guessing that these two videos were made in the same day, as each features the same director, stars, house, shaky camera work, bad lighting, worse editing and change in film stock right in the middle of a scene.

What we look for in bondage tapes are a fulfillment to some kind of fantasies – to be chained, tied up, feathered, dominated, bound, etc. In Rope Burn, the most eventful moment occurs when a girl, tied to a fence, gets her breasts pushed against a house by Pia Sands (Jane Bonda). Most of the tape consists of Cody Nicole or Margette Patte attempting to struggle out of the rope knots they're tied in. Otherwise, we get boring bondage, with the outdoor scenes plagued with a strong wind that ruins the soundtrack.

Dominated by Desire features no story to speak of and some rather tame, uninteresting lesbian petting that is as erotic as eating liverwurst. Bondage tapes can be fun for the initiated and a learning experience for the novice. Rope Burn and Dominated by Desire will provide little stimulation at all.
