Hal Freeman, one of the more controversial people in the porn industry, has released the first in a new series entitled Star Cuts. Nothing more than a series of out-takes from various Freeman productions, they nonetheless represent a fresh idea. The six new Star Cuts are short (30 minutes each), each features a popular starlet in non-stop sexual action (with no plots to speak of, thank you), and they are priced to sell. While they vary in quality, taken as a whole, the first volumes demonstrate much potential.

The best of the six tapes feature super-vixens Ginger Lynn and Ali Moore. The Lynn tape features guest shots by Crystal Breeze and Raven, all experts at keeping a god man up. The Ali Moore tape, featuring Sharon Mitchell, is the best of the lot. Ms. Moore is a stunning woman who leaves me craving for Moore. Definitely a collectible for your personal library.

The rest of Star Cuts run the gamut from mediocre to "pass the fast-forward." Kristara Barrington and Nikki Charm leave no discernible impression on this viewer, while the Susan Hart loops offer very little, if anything, out of the ordinary. For Seka fans, the package entitled Young Seka presents an early glimpse of the platinum princess. Again, this tape would be a welcome, low-priced addition to any Seka collection.

As advertised on the back of the "star" boxes, Volume 2 in the series is on the way. Highlighted is Raven, who should be more of a star than she is. Maybe this tape will help her along.

By packaging actresses in an individual way (like the Gourmet Quickies), the consumer gets a low-priced, no frills tape of their favorite star. Retailers, always searching for sell-through, should jump on these tapes, because the girls, especially Seka and Ginger Lynn, have a massive audience always eager for new product – even if they are out-takes.
