Blonde and beautiful Amber Lynn is a high-class call girl torn between her love for the free-and-easy (and rich) world of "work" and the love of her boyfriend in Girls of the Night, a story of prostitution that reads like a fairy tale.

Amber's main customers are a senator (Harry Reems) and a wealthy oilman (R. Bolla) who, hounded by the media, seek asylum and sexual comfort in the arms and legs of Amber and her girls. This makes for some hot sex, especially a phone-sex scene where Amber, who is being serviced by her maid (Renee Tiffany), listens to Peter North give Colleen Brennan a massage, and the double-team of Reems by Brennan and Lynn, who give in to Reems' barking and begging (literally).

I said this reads like a fairy tale because by film's end everyone is living happily ever after: Amber chooses true love and decides to quit the business, Bolla decides to head back to his home state of Texas, and hires Reems to be his top public relations man, and Bolla also invites all the girls out to Texas to help keep up his house, and him and Reems as well.

This is a good-time adult film. The story is strong, and at times funny; the sex scenes are exciting and done with feeling, and director Ned Moorehead does a fine job of maintaining all the subplots without getting bogged down. It's nice to see a film for a change that deals positively with sex and the characters involved. Too bad this isn't a western. I would've liked to have seen someone ride off into the sunset while "The End" lingered on the screen.
