The Madonna Movies . . . Phase II. Or is this Phase III, IV or V. Funny thing that this sexvid has nothing to do with Madonna or Desperately Seeking Susan. Funnier is that every video company wants to parody a movie that was only moderately successful during its theatrical run anyway. The title here should have satirized Murphy's Law instead, because the minimal story revolves around Billy Dee, whose life seems to be unraveling. Everything that can go weird does; leading to a series of confused circumstances, cured by people having sex.
What I'm starting to realize is that the success of a shot-on-video feature made today is based on how much sleep the actors and actresses had the night before or how much partying they did. Since these tapes are usually shot in one or two days anyway, the best productions come from well-rested casts.
Harold Lime's cast probably had a decent night's rest, because some great sex overcomes scratchy video quality, making Desperately Seeking Suzie plans and simply, a good aphrodisiac tape. There's no art, everything is shot from one angle, nothing unusual happens and everything is filmed in one house. Yet it works because Lana Burner (with her attractive Teri Garr overbite), newcomer Kari Foxx and Ami Rogers really light up the television screen, and Jessica Wylde and Cara Lott look better than I've ever seen them. Each of their individual scenes are highlights.
Meanwhile, the ender with Billy Dee and Heather Wayne (who, conversely, doesn't look her usual sexy self) provides good, straight, hot sexual fun. Desperately Seeking Suzie, in its no-frills approach, is recommended for your next stag party.
