Very often, we hear complaints about shot-on-video productions: terrible lighting, less than artistic camera work, poor quality, no action, the non-existent acting, etc. Now there are exceptions to the rules, such as The Pornbirds, Sex 5th Avenue, Erotic Zones, etc. However, Lady Madonna is no exception. It is a precise example of the lesser world of shot-on-video.
From the very first scene, with Ashley Moore as a moronic detective, complete with trenchcoat and totally inexplicable Jewish accent, we are subjected to a storyline that makes no sense, a high percentage of unattractive people, start lighting that makes every cellulite ripple even more noticeable and uninspired erotic scenes.
Then Stacey Donovan and Rick Rodgers, engages to be married, have standard sex, without any sense of fun or passion. Yes, there are different camera angles. Donovan contorts her face in an expression meant to be passion, but instead looks like she's in pain.
And, it doesn’t get any better! The director doesn't direct and we never seem to be aroused. Lady Madonna is basically all-sex, but they haven't come up with sex scenes to make it worth a look.
