Bi-Coastal will appeal to several different audiences, not the least of which, the women's and gay male crowds. You see, every sort of sexual combination is explored, with women and men, women on women and men on men. Many women are turned to seeing one girl with two guys who also attend to each other's needs.

In the sexual department, Bi-Coastal goes a full 40 minutes without any hardcore, but it gets swarmy and nasty during the second half of the film. Sheri St. Claire is stunning in a stylized photo session scene, where two bisexual men ravage her pretty body. She does a 69er with one guy, while the other services from the rear. One of her handsome studs then moves out of her, into the other guy's mouth. She also exchanges oral play with the other man. You may even have to put your VCR on pause to figure out all the different combinations.

The hottest scene in the film involves Cara Lott and her two male lovers, where at least seven or eight different sexual combinations are filmed in sweaty close-ups, with emphasis on anal and regular penetration.

Lott portrays a newcomer to California, whose boyfriend has moved away without notice, leaving her with only $43 and no job. She finds both sexual and job security as a hardcore nude photo model, taking on both men and women in equal doses. Eventually, she runs into her long lost boyfriend, who has since found his own boyfriend, and they become the happiest triangle this side of Three's Company.

This 16mm effort takes plenty of chances, depending on a very typical story to keep the viewer interested until the sex takes over. It works mostly because of Cara Lott's outstanding performance. Unfortunately, the men in the film, all of whom have performed in gay tapes in the past, act very amateurishly. However, their mouth's are almost always preoccupied, keeping the dialogue to a minimum.

Bi-Coastal certainly attempts something different here, and the more adventurous porn fans may find a likeable new subgenre. Catalina has also released The Big Switch, a bisexual shot-on-video feature. However, you'll want to explore this new area beginning with Bi-Coastal.
