Adult film viewers will find a refreshingly different twist for shot-on-video features in Love Button . . .

There's a story!

Now don't get the wrong idea. This plot isn't going to win any literary awards. But director Vinni Rossi does an excellent job in maintaining the script's flow from the opening credits to the surprise ending.

Frank Miller (Herschel Savage) is a "Skin Flick" writer whose latest and greatest creation, Holly (Amber Lynn) miraculously comes to life every time Savage tries to turn his VCA off. One out of the "tube," Amber really turns on with some steamy action, the best of which is the opening and closing scenes between creator and creation.

Amber is in all but one love scene, and attacks each with an obvious enthusiasm. Her fans will find this film a good showcase for the blonde beauty. Sheri St. Clair also gives a good performance, and is very convincing in her failing scene with Savage in which she struts off in a huff after declaring his organ "D-E-A-D."

Rossi also selected a very tasteful setting which provides a rich background for the film's wealth of sex. And except for an occasional wobbly camera (it looks like someone behind the scenes bumps into it) the video and audio quality are good. Rossi's only real flaw is in the manner Amber is transformed from a picture tube beauty into a true-to-life lover. As it is now, all the viewer sees is Savage's eyes widen with surprise, and then Amber is there. A flash of light and/or smoke before her arrival would have improved the transition scenes dramatically.

But to really appreciate the tape, it is necessary to listen very closely to the dialogue. By paying attention to the plot, the viewer will better appreciate the surprise ending, which, with Amber, is the best part of the film.
