Connection Live, a series of vignettes, uses real swingers, just like the pages of the actual Connection Magazine. This feature is like its characters: funny and pathetic. Ridiculous couples, awful editing and less than adequate audio quality combine to make this a large turnoff.
We are shown some uninspired scenes and are promised more of the same. It’s a toss-up over which is worse – these ten-second grope scenes, or the stilted, nervous, sometimes masked couples who make fools of themselves and are unintentionally hilarious. If you really want to hook up with these folks, you’d better enjoy traveling, because most of the are from Nevada and California.
A few of the couples from this seemingly endless parade of brave souls perform oral sex. Intermingled was one penetration scene from the Connection Convention in Reno. About six minutes of this schlock was bearable. Ginger Lynn and John Holmes are briefly interviewed and short cuts from their movies liven things up. But nothing could have saved this feature.
This is an amateurish production. Overdubs are out of sync and audio quality is poor (the sound of crickets often drowns out the audio). Do yourself a favor and pass this one by, unless you are the most ardent swinger with no alternatives.
