Don’t expect a cameo by Barbara Eden here, and frankly, this harem could have used one. Trinity Loren has this water pipe, see, and suddenly out pops a genie that she’s released from 5,000 years of imprisonment. The very grateful guy is eager to grant her wishes, but sexual wishes only, thank you. It appears this genie had been a harem guard for some Grand Vizier or another, and after getting caught in the sack with some amateur belly dancer (this is not the castrated variety of harem guard), was popped in the pipe by the local magician to be released only by a “special person.” Trinity is that special person.
Unfortunately, the sexual wish fulfillment that unfolds is nothing to wake up the camels about. The hottest scene, for my shekels, is a vibrator-assisted bed fling between buxom Trinity and lithe Heather Wayne. A sequence directed by Bruce Seven finds Trinity and Bruce’s wife Bionca in a disappointingly tame exercise in bondage and discipline. The rest of the sex is very standard stuff: nothing anal, plenty banal. As for newcomer Dawn Divine, a dazzling debut this is not.
A tip of the turban, however, for the authentic Middle Eastern music that accompanies many a scene. Lighting and camera work are just fine, but the overall sound is not up to par. The editing contains the usual number of quirks and jerks, but no amount of production values would have made this a midnight at the oasis.
