There are some elements of our society that defy charm, like an NFL huddle during a fourth-and-goal situation, a loan shark when your "now" account is three days in the past tense, or a gaggle of quasi-crazed sex-hungry rich bitches.
Maybe that's why a bun-haired Annette Haven looks totally uncomfortable here in her role as a tight-tailed head mistress of an academy for charm school dropouts. Cut away her sexual interludes and the classically beautiful Haven is bewildered and delivers her lines with the hesitancy of a myopic reading cue cards.
Or maybe it is her professional subconscious rebelling against a retread. After all, charm schools, dormitories and womens' prisons have been done to death. And some a whole lot better.
There are some mild stabs at amusement for which you might want to give this video a look-see. Sheri St. Clair as Rocky Ronzoni, potential heiress to an olive oil empire, plays out a couple of interesting scenes, one with Bambi Allen in which they're veritably awe stricken by the sight of muscled Francois Papillon doing two-armed triceps extensions with a dumbell. If that isn't a real turn-on, I don't know what is. And when they proceed to work out on his barbell while he's flexing, we're talking pumpin' lead here.
Earlier on, Nikki Charm and company offer us a lesson in swimming pool maintenance in an interesting version of the classic, 20,000 Licks Under the Seat. On the pool tooling scale, give it a seven.
But, I get the feeling too many people are sharing the same problem: tight underwear and shoes. Once the clothes come off, things go fine.
