How does one encapsulate the careerof Britt Ekland? Rod Stewart? Peter Sellers? It certainly hasn't been by any mean feats of acting, and this vehicle won't add any dents, either. But it's a smart-looking, sensitive production laced with some pretty heavy sexual overtones that scores for Erotic Images.

Try this one on for size — Ekland as a suburban middle-class mom of two teenage kids. She's married to the eternal jock (John McCann), only their bang-happy relationship is beginning to slip like his once proud pectorals. McCann, a cross between an aging Fabian and a graying Robert Conrad, can't handle his wife's newly acquired notoriety — she's just written a sexy, bestseller and now, all of a sudden, is a hot Hollywood property.

McCann grimaces and does great Robert Conrad facial expressions. He's developing a chip on his shoulder the size of a 12-volt battery, and he dares somebody to knock it off. Perhaps Conrad? McCann starts thinking twice about some young quiff. He's a high school coach of multitudinous levels of sport. Girls take their clothes off for him, female assistant principals (Alexandra Morgan — wow!) take their clothes off for him, and it seems the world does. He's oblivious. He wants Britt back, but she's dallying around in midnight creative sessions with film director Ed Byrnes. Byrnes apparently got a promotion from parking cars at Dino's on 77 Sunset Strip. And he has all the trappings to prove it — Hollywood pad, convertible Mercedes, new comb.

McCann is nuts. Morgan is lithe and sexy, and he doesn't mind taking an offensive rebound shot or two off her panties, but he wants Britt. Hasn't he read her real life book? This woman goes to bed armed with a tape measure. While Morgan and McCann play a little one on one, Ekland is off to orgies with Byrnes, giving patented Cosmo women of the 80's spiels to anyone within earshot. She needs time to absorb the changes in her life and find out who she is. And the thing of it is, McCann buys that crap.

Ignore some of the momentary lapses into aw-gee-whiz traditionalism. Erotic Images cuts it where it counts (lots of skin) and is absolutely guaranteed to put a few notions of eroticism — especially into the heads of Alexandra Morgan watchers.
