Well, I suppose if I had paid money to rent this I'd be groaning, too. An uneven combination of a behind-the-scenes look at an adult film and a "best of" sampler, Moans And Groans is a chain held together by some very weak links.

Starting with on-the-set hi-jinx featuring Siobhan Hunter and Nikki Wright, Moans segues into an informal chat among the filmmakers as they recall some of their favorite moments from other movies. Segments from Wrecked 'Em, Mouth To Mouth and other titles, featuring such stars as Ron Jeremy, Barbie Dahl, Chanel, Tasha Voux and BobbySpector, are deftly spliced together, along with salutes to anal encounters, two-on-ones and even some bloopers.

Now, there's nothing wrong with compilations (I must admit that 1 enjoyed the inspired use of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" during the anal scenes), and there have been some fine adult films that ostensibly took place "on the set," but there's not enough of cither and too much of both in Moans And Groans. The talent is there to make two good films, but Moans And Groans turns out to be only one mediocre entry.
