Well, it is Dave or is it Dove?  Dove Jenkins, a sleazy-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan tabloid, isn’t even sure of his own first name.  Every once in awhile he slips in conversation and calls himself Dave. Then how can you expect this boo to get a story straight?  His publisher, Ms. Vanderbilt (Brittany Morgan) apparently notices some discrepancies in style, likewise.  She assigns Jenkins (Buck O. Rogers) aka “Worm,” to the armpit of reportorial challenge – the “obit.”

In Citizen Kane flashback style, Jenkins tries to reconstruct the lives of a young society couple who “bit the cosmetic wienie.”  Jenkins, who talks like Mickey Spillane with a Phillips Marlowe hangover, lies, connives and sleeps his way to a blockbuster tale of forbidden fruit and hidden lusts which we are treated to here.  The late Phyllis Steinberg (Keli Richards) had this things for Espanol gardeners, while hubby Steinberg (Francois Papillon) who dressed like he fell off a wedding cake, kept a collection of girls in a vault. This family had more skeletons than a Halloween novelty store.

Hands down, the Francois scene with Janette Littledove as one of his “collectibles” is the pick of the flashbacks here. That’s not a difficult choice to establish, since all the other pairings have the erotic chemistry of hooking up Joseph Cotton with Orson Welles.  Again, we have another instance where some witty, sarcastic dialogue cuts a deciding factor. This is funny, and somewhat sexy, and provides an entertaining evening of sexvid viewing.
