A Ha! At last, those nice boychicks at Adult Video News have bestowed upon me the honor and privilege of finally reviewing an adult tape. When they told me the tape was entitled Yiddish Erotica, I thought to myself, terrific! ... a tape I could really sink my teeth into (you should pardon the expression).

So what do I do? ... I make myself some hot tea and sit down in front of the VCR and get ready to enjoy myself reviewing this tape. But OY VEY!!! was I in for such a surprise. The tape is broken down into a series of clips or vignettes from old footage from as far back as I care to remember. You shouldn't know from the disappointment that I felt when I witnessed that not even one of the film shorts had even the slightest reference to, or about, Jews. 1 presume that Video Classics, with their fancy, schmancy name, does not consider the Jews as the chosen people, except when it comes to titles for video cassette boxes.

For instance, the first story called "Poolside Party" features Gina Carrera on her hands and knees (not a common sight for a Jewish American Princess) with her lover splashing in and about the swimming pool and Gina. Unless she is supposed to be facing the Wailing Wall or Bloomingdale's, there are no Jewish ties. Besides, her lover looks like a German! And the same follows for the remainder of the vignettes with such names as "European Encounter," "Room for Rent" and the very original "Play It Again Sam."

Despite my opinions, the sex displayed in the film clips is generally superior. The best part I still believe is the title, and if ever the two shall meet, it should only be a marriage made in heaven.
