During the run of this video, Rick Savage embraces his stuffed pet gorilla named Groucho in impassioned speeches about the state of the world, and the palsied state of television writing. Talk about the adult industry blackening the kettle.
My thinking on the subject is that Savage is reduced to dialoging stuffed animals based on some previous acting gigs in Scotty Fox videos. Savage is good in a rough hewn element. Wimp comedy, no.
As Harlan the TV writer, Savage is forever tread upon by a boss who doubles as a horse's hind end. Savage must concoct greed, violence and sex storylines for a TV show, Immorality Lane. "Give me something a six year old can enjoy," says his boss.
Better yet, the writers of this video have come up with something four year olds can relish - a straight rape of a Tales From The Darkside Episode. Only here, Savage employs his word processor to create real-from-imagination sexual episodes.
Oh, Rachel Ashley is splendid as a processor-concocted vixen. But the sex, alas, becomes short-circuited. If Savage is going to be reduced to talking to gorillas, he might try his hand at one more King Kong sequel.
