Ron Jeremy is simply hysterical in his role as Freddy Futz, a frustrated and horny sex-shop salesman. Only a small amount of My Party Doll takes place with Jeremy pushing butt-plugs and other sex paraphernalia, but these scenes are easily as funny as any sitcom currently on network television.

The plot of the video is a cute one but hardly original if you recall Little Shop Of Whores, even to the name of the doll. Alone in the store, right before Jeremy's eyes, a blow-up doll comes to life in the form of the lovely Cara Lott. Jeremy is so excited that he immediately indulges with "Dolly." The sole catch with this too-good-to-be-true situation is that only Jeremy can see and hear Lott. Not surprisingly, super-salesman Futz loses his job when his boss sees him with his pants down embracing a plastic blow-up doll.

Other than the mentioned sex shop scenes, My Party Doll is average. The sex scenes with Alexis Firestone begin hot as fire (this is one lady who really enjoys her work), but cool down as they tend to run very long. Melissa Melendez plays Jane, Jeremy's unfaithful girlfriend with little vigor. She looks great (especially in a tryst with Lott), but you can count her lines of dialogue on your left hand.

Director Leif Knullar likes to use larger-than-life closeups in this tape, and while this is exciting when showing Melendez, Firestone and Lott, it's disgusting when zooming in on a pair of hands that need a good scrubbing.

For comedy and Ron Jeremy fans, this video is definitely worth a look.
