Oh, please... play with me... Tianna. No, that's not the plaintive wail of Paul Anka, but the cry of Randy Spears who's this dark, brooding, extraterrestrial creature of the night summoned by Tianna in her dreams.
Dancer Tianna's got these mountain of bills, and is on the verge of losing her car (she must have worked that recent 100 video shoot), so that's why she's having these nightmares. So, it only figures that a vampire's going to show up sooner or later. You might come up with a better reason to extract. Spear's character from the bowels of the earth, but once he shows up, he models his Bernini Of L.A. vampire wear with great fashion and aplomb. Spear's vampire needs Tianna as an emotional support system as much as she needs him —in the classic vampire-dependency sense.
Spears is downright fascinating in his role, and Tianna is beautiful and sensually dependent —one of the best sexual performances of the year. The night club dance/sex sequences are some of the best Bruce Seven has shot. A little unevenness here and there, but Shadows In The Dark delivers something unique-no safe grounds. For the store owner who wants to stock something a little out of the ordinary. Good boxcover shot.
