Alumni of the Class of Nuke ‘Em High and Toxic Avenger must surely recognize that any flight aboard something called Tromaville Airlines will be nothing short of a crash landing into the Tasteless Zone.  Da da dum dum.  In which case Troma’s War comes through with flying jingoistic colors – a landmark and landmine of the absolutely insipid.

A group of happy vacationers plunge plane and all into a Caribbean motherload of terrorists and instantly become a band of very unhappy campers.  They squabble, they squawk, and we get nearly a toxic level ingestion of Nazi jokes, bare breast humor, severed limbs, religious quackery and pig nose gags.  It’s business as usual in Tromaville, Caribbean division.

The terrorists it seems are in training to mount a massive assault upon the United States all of which doesn’t sit too well with the jettisoned crew, particularly an ex-Vietnam vet named Parker whose been through all this before. So, like he does this everyday of his life, Parker rallies the troops in an orderly counter guerilla offensive – by the numbers.

Unfortunately the visuals get so intense at times, we’re not sure whether it’s permissible to laugh at the humor.  Tongues get yanked out at will and ears get clipped and collected for necklaces.  And that’s the minor stuff.  So when we get around to the love and sex angles, well, I for one had a headache and wasn’t in the mood.  Definitely not for the squeamish or easily offended.
