It’s with a feeling of melancholy to note that this feature marks the passing of Jon Martin’s flag-waving Sgt. Joe Thursday character. In his final curtain call, Thursday is sent to England to extradite Debi Diamond, who’s been accused of stealing the Piccadilly family jewels. Diamond gives him the slip and Tursday enlists Scotland Yard detective Mike Horner to help track her down.
Thursday’s been given funnier lines in the past (or maybe they’ve seemed funnier); anyways the sex setups are cute, and the cast gives it a pretty good ride. Nice outdoor shots of London help the story move along. Megan Leigh and Debi Diamond rack up impressive showings, but methinks Joe is best laid to rest – at least Diamond gives him a good bon voyage present in their coupling. Megan looks nice on the box cover.
