The idea of An Innocent Obsession starts out reasonably enough with Jeff Golden, an apparent nut case, trooped before Brockton OToole, an apparent curator of the looney ward Golden has taken residence in. Golden, via flashback, relates little sex experiences from his past that have turned him into a whack job. But then... comes that infernal, tinkling flashback music; close-ups of Golden's nose; and a couple of sex scenes not very erotic, notably Golden's tryst with the rather fleshy Whitney Valentine —an exercise commonly associated with slapping pizza dough.

And then there's Brockton O'Toole, and amiable chap, generally relegated to non-sex character parts. O'Toole should be re-relegated after his scene with Cassie Nova. Cassandra is the bright moment for those looking for one in an average sex scene.
