There is just so much that is good about I Do that I don't know where to start. The standout has got to be Robert Bullock's performance, his best this year. He's a husband who likes to hear wife Hyapatia tell him of imaginary sexual encounters. When one of these becomes a reality (a terrific threesome) with Hyapatia, Jon Dough, and Cheri Taylor, Bullock can't take it, and the marriage starts to dissolve. Everyone of the encounters begins naturally and slowly with a teasing build-up that works each time. Hyapatia is a sexual stick of dynamite that just about explodes in each of her three scenes. Not that Cheri Taylor or Sharon Kane are slouches. Look for Cheri as one of the frontrunners in this year's best new Starlet ballot. She drips sex from every pore and is a natural actress.
Director Thomas, who has had a bit of trouble this year with music occasionally overwhelming dialog, should hire the sound technician here for life. Every word is crystal clear an the light classical music over the action scenes is well chosen. With a pretty box cover that will appeal to both sexes, retailers should say, I Do to this superior entry.
