The good news is that the sex scenes in the second Phantom installment are very hot. But the story meanders aimlessly and the characters break established patterns of behavior just to set up erotic interludes.
The most pleasing surprise is the re-emergence of Keisha, after a throwaway role in the original, who takes center stage with a warm performance and a fireball sexuality. As the woman who befriends and makes love to The Phantom (Jamie Gillis), Keisha turns in one of the year's best sexual performances.
Not so pleasing is the fizzled plotline involving Sharon Kane as the manipulative Olympia, who will stop at nothing to get into Cabaret owner Rick Savage's pants. Bionca has a tremendously hot scene with writer Randy Spears, however the thin characterization undermines the feature's surprise ending.
Though it lacks the snap and crackle of the first feature, Phantom of the Cabaret, Part Two is a fine production. The quality remains and stores and consumers alike should take note.
