What a pleasant little surprise this feature turns out to be. As actors in adult films, Sharon Mitchell and Billy Dee have picked up a trick or two along the way about solid, character-oriented directing. The story's been done a thousand times before: sexy college babes on the verge of flunking a course try to seduce the professor (Sasha Gabor) into giving them better grades. But get this … this script is even better.

Lynn LeMay, as one of the babes, is the sexiest she's been in a long time. And Buck Adams is out of this world, playing a dim-witted maintenance guy who turns out to have more smarts than anyone gives him credit for. It's good to see him have a meaty role for a change. Oh yeah, plenty of meaty sex, too. Making the Grade is a terrific darkhorse sex feature that shouldn't be missed.
