Here is an original concept for you: teacher Eric Edwards has a class of aspiring actors and he puts them through extemporaneous situations which call for them to have sex.  Here’s a second mind-boggling idea: one of the nymphette types has the hots for the teacher and in the end teaches him to let go and have hammer and tong sex with her.  Now any teacher would lose his job under these circumstances and we’d let all this go if the sex was hot.  But Performance puts attractive people in situations where they can screw each others’ brains outs for 85 minutes.  Nothing more, nothing less.  The sex is frenetic, and the only memorable scene has inmate Peter North forced to give up his chick to guard Jon Dough with the interesting use of a mobile as a pseudo bed.  Heather Hunter is lovely and one of the rising starlets; but even she cannot lift an average outing.
