This particular feature, shot about three years ago has more background cloak and dagger intrigue to it than most spy novels. There has been talk in the past about stolen masters, and last year another version surfaced under the name King Tongue (not to be confused with King Tung also reviewed in this issue, but that's confusing enough).
We're told this in the only "authorized" California Taboo. Such as it is, Joey Silvera and Nina Hartley play the whacked-out parents of Shanna McCullough and Don Fernando (who's not even listed in the credits). This family is like Ozzie and Harriet on hallucinogenics. Unfortunately, the comedic emphasis comes off rather lame because little time is spent developing characters.
