A mark of a good director is to take an old premise, a script that has little story development, and turn out a good video. Director Enright has accomplished this surprising task in Monday Nite Ball which finds husbands Tom Byron, Cal Jammer and Eric Price immersed in TV football while wives Cheri Taylor, Mandi Wine and newcomer Sabrina (not to be confused with the platinum Sabrina) wish that their hubbies were immersed in them instead. What follows are individualized seduction scenes which are wisely suited to each girl’s personality. Thus, we get Cheri doing Bergman/Bogart dialogue from Casablanca; Mandi Wine pulling a Tom Jones eating scene, etc. Very nicely done by all involved with the bonus of a Cheri Taylor-Sabrina scene that shows that Cheri’s other all-girl successes are no flukes. There is even the extra added attraction of perfect colors and top notch video quality. Even the eyelashes show up in close-ups.
