When Deidre's boyfriend (Ray Victory) is mysteriously murdered during a rather rambunctious New Year's Eve party, the pace is set for a stylish thriller in the mold of Bodies in Heat.
Expectations are dashed as the story fails to deliver surprising twists, falling back on formula clichés. Deidre in Danger is a matter of style over substance, but what style is has!
The sets are atmospheric, the camera virtually glides around the action, and eye-catching double exposures serve to heighten some very effective hardcore footage. John Dough as the investigating detective participates in the hottest sex scene. The highlight of the video arrives as Dough visits his rock 'n' roll girlfriend in the recording studio for some late night vocal improvisations. As the femme fatale, Holland is too demure . . . tentative would better describe her acting . . . but nonetheless becomes a powerhouse in the bedroom. In addition to a seduction with Dough, Holland's submission to her volatile ex-pimp (Randy Spears) is a mind blower.
Film noir it's not, but Deidre in Danger is sexier than Murder, She Wrote. And in seductive, warm packaging, it's bound to be a hit.
