With an interesting script patched together from old “Twilight Zone” episodes and laced with sex and a marvelous starring turn by Tracey Adams, director Scotty Fox has a real winner on his hands with the sizzling fantasy Eternity.
Adams plays a middle-aged film star who’s bargained with the netherworld for the gift of eternal youth. All she has to do is have sex with any young stud (or studette) who comes her way, and she can drain them of their youth. Eventually. The trail of dead senior citizens leads detective Randy West to Adams’ door, but a final twist turns the curse back on Adams.
The performers in this feature are all in rare form, especially Adams, in her portrayal of a woman for whom sex isn’t just a pleasure (if at all), but literally a matter of life or death. Peter North and Tom Byron play well off Adams as her male conquests (aging with liberal doses of talcum powder in the hair), and while detective West only “gets down to cases” once, his supporting role is well handled. Best scene has to go to the threesome with Adams, Byron and the stunning Sunny McKay (love that accent!). For an offbeat adult tale with a story that keeps you watching to the end and some of the best performances in quite a spell, Eternity should attract an audience for some time to come.
