Both features revolve around psychiatrists (Dough, in this case) who have relationships with prostitutes, and the escalating mind games they play on each other.

Taking the idea a step further, Another Secret casts Ashley Dunn as both hooker and wife to the doctor. The couple share their patients/clients in a most unnatural way, and to her credit Dunn is a better psychiatrist than her husband. She handles Peter north and Patricia Kennedy quite professionally, but like real lie psychology, this story has no real ending.
