Being professional is one thing, but having personality is another, and when it comes to Erica Boyer, it's personality that puts her a cut above the rest. So it's really no surprise when, with about 20 minutes left in this bizarre, misguided feature known as Black To The Future, Erica comes off the bench to liven things up.

One of three co-eds having their sexual fantasies fulfilled by aliens with a pink car (don't ask . . .), Erica is supposed to be "Marilyn Mansfield" at her first screen test, with Herschel Savage as the director. Pouting and preening, she verbally assaults the video's pretentious plot while managing to be both genuinely funny, and incredibly hot at the same time. Erica mixes it up with both Savage and "make-up girl" Tish Ambrose, who nearly loses the pink wig she's wearing to keep you from recognizing her from an earlier role in the feature.

This whole video doesn't make sense from the title on down: Robby Dee is the only "black" in the video, and his big contribution is making it with an inflatable love-doll; Kristara Barrington, as "Mati Hari," has her scenes with Buddy Love pretty much ruined with cutaways; Frank James and Melissa Melendez, as "Cleopatra," never really get rolling despite the Elizabeth Taylor jokes, and Gail Storm wears body paint and answers the telephone. But despite all this, you'll still want to see Boyer.
