Taboo V-The Secret is a long movie with a complicated plot that involves: Colleen Brennan, a widow with a split personality and a grown son; Jamie Gillis, her psychiatrist who loves a nasty slut (Amber Lynn) who uses him, and Karen Summer, the shrink's daughter, who catches her husband (Joey Silvera) cheating on her and runs back to daddy. This nearly two-hour movie packs all this plot and nine sex scenes. The production is top flight with beautiful bedrooms in lovely California houses, and pretty good acting given there's lots of dialog.

Brennan plays the prudish mother-and-sexbomb combination well, and looks great in her erotic scenes. Amber is a good, nasty sex-loving golddigger with a taste for black studs, and Karen Summer is a believable "nice" girl looking for love. Jamie Gillis does his usually fine job as the wimpy psychiatrist, whom Amber leads around by the nose while she slakes her sexual desires on her black boyfriend (Jonathon Younger), who treats her badly but services her well (including bringing friend Billy Dee along for a tempestuous three-way).

The sex is plentiful and well shot, but eight out of nine scenes end with the girl taking it in the mouth after doing all the standard stuff. The only scene that deviates is when the father is seduced by the daughter (Jamie and Karen) and director Kirdy Stevens feels he should use a more romantic climax. There are hot times during the sex — the three-way with Amber and the two studs gets going, and the final scene between Colleen and Shone Taylor (mother and son) quickens the pulse — but the inevitable end of each scene detracts from the action. Variety would keep the viewer's juices flowing better. All in all though, Taboo V is a better-than-average film that offers a lot of action and nice production values.
