Beauty and the Beast, Part 2, a stunning and original work, is nothing short of a great adult feature. The bone-stiffening sex, rife with tease and seduction in a way that video sex should be portrayed, complements the rich textures and colors of a perfectly videographed saga. Great acting, inspired casting, well-paced editing and a top-notch script help make this erotic gem one of 1990's very best, a cut above the original.
While all of the sex scenes are energetic, three stand out. The absolutely luscious opener with Victoria Paris, who has never looked better, and knight Randy West starts out comically with tease in tin and develops into a seductive, satisfying sequence that my have viewers shutting off their VCRs for continuance the next day.
Likewise, West's ravaging of Tracey Adams, who although has put on a few, still can use her breasts to complement any ordinary humping and a marvelous duo scene where Paris and Randy Spears romp on a lawn while former amateur duo Chaz Vincent and Dizzy Blonde take care of each other in a buggy (sans horse).
We can't forget Sabrina Dawn and her three-way with Spears and Rachel Ryan. Sabrina, in this segment and her outstanding tryst with Victoria Paris in The New Barbarians shows a talent in girl licking that has rarely been rivaled.
All of this hot stuff, exceedingly well shot and paced, does not obscure a funny story, where former beast John Leslie, now the king (and a bit pussy-whipped by wife Tracey Adams) can't keep his daughter from passionate sex and his wife from spending money (she buys thumbscrews at Lord and Taylor, though it's the dark ages). As knight West screws daughter Paris, he blackmails mama Adams so Leslie won't find out. Meanwhile, Leslie starts to become the beast again, until a convenient plot twist, courtesy of Mother Goose (Ariel Knight), helps bring about a happy ending.
Knight, Leslie (in a non-sex role), Dough, Vincent, Sabrina, Adams and especially West and Paris turn in award-type performances. It is the sexual devotion of West and Paris that makes their acting seem that much better. Some intriguing casting has Ray Victory in a cameo as the black Pope, photographer Ron Vogel as Leonardo da Vinci and of course, Knight as the constantly masturbating Mother Goose.
Paul Thomas, a skilled director, has taken this big-budget production and turned it into one of his very best and sexiest. An absolute must-stock for video stores and adult stores alike.
