What kind of problems would you expect if two of adult video's most experienced and talented directors got together to make a feature? Clashing egos meets messy sexvid, right? Wrong!
Using the perfect touch of behind-the scenes industry info, in-jokes and scorching sex scenes in each of their respective trademark styles, Henri Pachard and Bruce Seven have delivered a sensual assault that shadows over most everything else that has come out on the market this year.
It's obvious that they had a budget to work with. Technically, everything is superior and the sex scenes are produced so well, even Alicia Monet looks like she's enjoying herself. The story revolves around two sets of female producers who each decide they want to make their own porn movie. They go to sleazy John Leslie for distribution of their movies and each enlist their own director (Shauna McCullough and Alicia Monet employ Seven; Sharon Kane cons Pachard).
It's a battle of sexual wits from this point on, with an additional subplot that also evolves nicely (Robert Bullock and Monet, both porn stars, have broken up and can't handle their love/hate relationship). Seven's sex scenes are typically his (Nikki Knights, Alicia Monet and Shauna McCullough try every sex toy imaginable in this year's hottest lesbian scene). McCullough even handles hot wax in a dungeon. Pachard directs his sex scenes with usual flair, and yes, thank you, he makes fun of himself with a behind-the-scenes bathroom sequence involving Nikki Knights, Tom Byron and Joey Silvera that's an instant classic.
Conflict has all the makings of a video success -- a first rate production with superior sex and two excellent directors clashing styles, but not ego. Funny, sexy and a must-see certain future chart-topper.
