What a strange little daring video this is! Everyone must know by now how good an actress Barbara Dare is, but this has got to be one of the real challenges of her career. She stars in four little vignettes with linking material between them where she faces perhaps her most difficult role: being herself for an interview. In the first story, she plays a booth dancer, surrounded by three very horny guys where she struts her stuff till they all get off. Then she and Alice Springs start talking about (and modeling) panties, then progress to something more interesting. In the third scene she becomes a convict’s dearest wish as she visits him in prison and gives him a personal show, and finally, she plays a seductive defense attorney.
Along the way, we also find out her sexual preferences (bi) and who she’d like to make an X-rated movie with—Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson, for your information. The trouble with all this, is, there isn’t a lot of intercourse going on. There are a couple of girl/girl numbers (the Alice Springs segment achieves classic status), a masturbation scene and one genuine lay at the end. Well made as it is, L.A. Stories lacks in overall eroticism but succeeds as an experiment. Stores should note that it’s perfect for Barbara Dare fans.
