Carl Esser continues to turn out interesting scripts although this one does have a little too much of Barbara Cartland-type mush. Wayne Summers meets divorcee Hyapatia Lee while jogging. The rain forces them into her house where they make love after a long introductory scene. He then discloses that he must go on a six-week business trip much to her dismay. They write to each other over this period but don't disclose that each is unfaithful. Not only the first scene but each of the five action pieces is a model of what director Thomas does at his best. Hooker Taylor Wayne, billed as Fayrin Heitz, teases Wayne in a motel room as does Heather Heart as part of a threeway with Blake Palmer. The obligatory lesbian scene between Jamie and Hyapatia is both tender and hot —a difficult combination to achieve.

This is minor Paul Thomas, but like someone said about John Ford, minor P.T. is better than 95% of the stuff out there.
