Yes, until the moment it got dropped off here at the AVN compound, we, too, were under the impression that the official title of this long-ballyhooed directorial debut from the one and only Jenna Jameson was, simply, THE Provocateur. But can you blame ?em for altering it ever so slightly to play up the Queen of Adult's place at the helm of it?
Now then, to get right down to it, how'd The Jenna do as directrix? Not too shabby, honestly. Much as one would expect with her behind the camera, Provocateur is extremely flashy, highly music video-ish, and not one iota shy of close-up as you can get, major hardcoreness.
Definitely progressive for something shot on film, but maybe what's even more so is the title's presentation to the public packaging/marketing-wise, with each ClubJenna Girl, all of whom are in the cast, getting her own box cover (much like the 10th anniversary Reservoir Dogs DVD), as well as an individualized menu screen, photo gallery and bonus masturbation scene on the corresponding disc. Plus, at least with the Jesse Capelli version, there's a different commentary track (with Capelli, natch) than on the others.
As a retailer, you can be sure that demand will be staggering for this one, so stock accordingly. And as a fan, you won't want to miss out, yourself.
