The title of this release makes it sound like solo-sex video, but it's not. The setup here is that gayporn superstar Al Parker arrives home at the end of a long, hard day, leafs through his mail (all bills), checks his phone messages (another Bill, this one standing him up for their date), then jumps into bed along with his loyal pooch Doogie, watches some TV gets himself hot, and lapses into realms of unabashed fantasy.

Where do the fantasies come from? Mostly they seem to be outtakes from old Al Parker videos (at least one directed by the late Steve Scott, who gets "guest director" billing). A Night Alone has the feeling of being an anthology tape, through as far as I can tell it's all previously unseen material.

It's a clever gambit. Parker, one of today's most outspoken proponents and practitioners of safe-sex video, gets to market some decidedly unrestrained material by encapsulating it as fantasy, with our understanding that it was all shot years ago.

Interest in the action itself will depend on the viewers fascination with Parker and his fascinations - mostly fetishes involving stretching, typing up, twisting and otherwise playing games with his own and others' larger than life appendages.

The hottest moments on the tape, ironically are the previews from Parker's upcoming safe-sex epic Turbo Charge.
