Of the alternative adult releases that appeared on the market last year, and there were quite a few good ones (thanks to the influence of cable TV ), Desert Passion made it to the top of the heap and took AVN's Best Alternative Feature award in the film category. It won for a couple of reasons.

Desert Passion has a sufficiently attractive cast of babes to perk visual interest, but, more importantly, it has enough plot artifices to keep the nudity flowing like a new oil vein in the Middle East. There's never a dull moment in this film, and a few pretty-bizarre ones thrown in for good measure.

Carrie Janisse and Missy Browning play a couple of L.A. gals who are fed up with the fast come-on lines, the insincerity and the bullshit, so decide to take a vacation. Did someone say road adventure? Faster than you can say "video love slave", the gals have car trouble and are kidnapped to become playmates for a character named Bruce whose henchmen look like they fell out of a Dark Bros, movie. The girls are taken to a secret retreat whereupon they and a number of other naked girls in similar throes are drugged to become Stepford Wives in Bruce's video/blackmail scheme.

No academy awards for acting here, but Desert Passion certainly does the job as far as visual stimulation is concerned.
