AVN has frequently decried the practice of the unjustified splitting of adult titles. This reviewer gave Hungry Part 1 an unqualified rave (AAAA 1/2, March 1993), but not only does Part 2 not live up to Part 1, it just plain doesn't stand alone. If Part 2 had been edited at the same pace as Part 1, and the 16 minutes of highlights from Part 1 omitted, it might have run only 40-45 minutes, with three-and-a-half sex scenes, including an unpardonably-extended closing scene with the four principals.

After the recap of Part 1, we commence with tough cop Long blaming reporter Alexis for the death of his partner Dough at the hands of the sexual vampires Samantha Strong and Peter North. DeVell still longs to help in the investigation, and goes undercover, as Dough did, working for the Hungry caterers. Long teaches her to shoot a gun in an outdoor scene that nicely establishes a growing relationship between the pair, with great sexual tension — but it's never resolved! The script goes haywire, as the vampires fuck on their desk, detonating the sexual tension between these "partners" with a fizzle smaller than a cap pistol. Long is again visited by undead succubi, this time Shayla and Alicia Rio, but he doesn't merely resist temptation, he just falls asleep. Instead of seducing Alexis into vampirism, North and Strong inexplicably offer them "marriage", leading tothe interminable closing scene where Peter fucks Alexis, and Woody fucks Samantha. So much for plot resolution. The video and the sets still look good, and Samantha is especially hot, but retailers should warn customers that the main reason to rent this one is to conclude the tale begun in the award-worthy Part 1.
