Clearly, director Paul Norman consistently stays several steps ahead of his competition, by finding new sexual plot twists to integrate into his bisexual features. Offering, his first outing for In Hand Video, tops his last opus, Bi and Beyond II. This one chronicles the exploits of street-girl Torrey Welles, a living, breathing woman without a vagina.
The wacky story is really two-fold: first, various people are looking for this mysterious creature; second, she learns all about sex and becomes a real woman. Little dialogue is necessary, as this feature creates one steamy sexual situation after another. Both Frankie Leigh and Veronica Hall turn in uncontrollable, erotic performances, while the bevy of men, not familiar to a straight audience, provide fresh new faces. Of course, Torrey Welles is as advertised . . . wild. The orgy sequence at the end provides her best fireworks.
Other highlights include the anal threesome with Brad Phillips, Torrey Welles and Charley Stone while Veronica Hall's edible paint sequence is a bit different and very erotic. Crystal clear photography and creative direction make up for the below-average acting by most of the participants. But they seem to enjoy their sex and Offering provides the first big bisexual winner of 1989.
