Sunset Thomas photographs splendidly and gives an earnest account of herself in her sexual performances, but whatever the explanation, every feature I see her in turns into a minefield of technical trip-wire.
In Love Letters it's not so much the booga-booga of intrusive music-over-voice, the common malady of contemporary XXX video, but the path of the camera which resembles the eye being snookered by a sleight-of-hand artist. The camera, whenever there's a group encounter (2 to speak of out of 3-1/2 sex scenes) is aimed in all the wrong directions, rendering the action meager and inconsequential.
Sunset is supposed to be answering letters from her fans and acting out their fantasies. In her first scene she engages Marie, whose south of the border ass adds a nice touch as she roots Summer (no anal) with a plug-in penis. The follow-up bath tub scene (shot in tight quarters, thus presenting a tough venue for execution) with an unidentified couple misfires for reasons already cited as does a fourway involving husband Zach, Chelsea Lynx and Diva. The finish off scene has Sunset masturbating as she introduces ephemeral clips (one nice doggie penetration shot from Don Fernando) from some of her "upcoming videos".
Sunset looks great in an amateurish feature that essentially betrays her skills. Fans will probably want to see this one, anyway.
