"Why does he act so stupid?" asks Lacy Rose of Randy West's character, the slow-burning Mr. Williams. "Bad writing," responds Shawn Ricks, hitting the prophetic nail squarely on the head. Aside from a few zingers, Anus is an arid satire that fares slightly better when the cast shuts up and copulates.
Granted, Sydney St. James gives a superior performance as the naive, oversexed, topless-overalled Denise, who's always getting into Mr. Williams' hair, but never his pants. That job's reserved for (covergirl) Micki Lynn, whose monumental presence (as in granite monumental), halting delivery and sexual insincerity stop the show cold. The erotic burden falls on Lacy, whose nasty, energetic butt hangings — with Byron and Ricks, respectively — are the main reason to check out this vid (and an excellent box cover).
