Q. Did you here the one about the porno stars that thought they were funny enough to be stand up comics?
A. No, well the comedy sucked but the sex was pretty good.
You get the message — A little less conversation, and a little more copulation can go a long way. An ambitious effort by director Jim Enright and star Ron Jeremy, but with bad jokes and poor comedic timing, they may have a new found respect for the art of stand-up.
Jeremy's got a problem. Sure, he's been fortunate enough to have gotten his own comedy club, but he can't seem to get any head. The worst part is (aside from the bad jokes) everyone but Ron is getting some. Even the waiting-in-the-wings comic Steven St. Croix gets a blowjob. After asking matter-of-fellatioly, Kylie Ireland (not in credits) sucks the stage fright out of him.
Also suffering from the jitters is Micky Lynn who is soothed by Jonathan Morgan (who does Dice's routine on stage — "Fuck-in' Bad-ly"). Micky projects nicely into Jonathan's mic, before working on her timing, via doggie and cowgirl, until she gets his yuks on her face. Comic deadbeat T.T. Boy settles his bar tab through bartender Asia Carrera. A nice chemistry between the two has them enjoying each other's libations amid a mix of shaking and stirring. A bartenders dream, the scene's complete with a "blowjob, slippery nipple and screaming orgasm".
The finest scene (and much too short) is the threesome of Debi Diamond, T.T. Boy and Morgan. Awesome head and a side-splitting d.p. has the cum-soakcd Diamond at her best. The great chemistry here is also evident in the stand-up and lay-down routine delivered by the ever-gorgeous Nina Hartley and Alex Sanders.
Although The Stand Up doesn't tickle the funny bone (with the exception of the very funny Dante'), it does manage to tickle another. If the fast forward button is working on your remote — use it and enjoy the real show.
