If Bikini Island had a tad more nudity in it, I'd be inclined to name it the best alternative adult title of the year, no contest.
It's a breezy, entertaining movie (a great music score, besides) that features a bunch of dynamite women, and an interesting Friday the 13th hook that keeps you relatively on the edge of your seat.
Swimwear Illustrated Magazine is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and the girl who makes it on the cover will be awarded $100,000. The nominees are down to give finalists who are whisked to beautiful St. Christopher Island for the requisite magazine glamour poses and nude shower sequences.
Among the camera crew, magazine staff and models themselves is a nut who goes around bumping people off. Okay, figure out the culprit and who has the best motive. There's the womanizing art director, the jealous female magazine staff member, the ultra-competitive model who would like to see all the other girls bumped off so she can win by default; the nutcase photographer and the wacko crew guy. Have fun and enjoy some deliriously delicious body photography (mostly pin-up type stuff, but a little shallow on the nudity). Definitely worth a rental, though.
