Pudsucker Roxy must be construed either as a total put-on or the most relentless, unabashed example of self-aggrandizement since O.J, Simpson's defense team.

Bill Margold and Davey Scarbrough host a series of five sex scenes, and, in between, Margold does a pretty good impersonation of a walking floatation device, hawking his long-standing tome, 'The Porn Stud Handbook" in the vocal cadence of a tobacco auctioneer. As if offering a disclaimer to this panegyrical pandering, Margold says it's his spin on an infomercial, a late night art form that has few peers.

On to the sex. Must have been a dearth of originality plaguing this shoot because two of the vignettes are entitled "Temple of Sin," having as much to do with temples as a shaving kit has to do with a rabbi's overnight travel bag. Chelsea Lynx has sex with Scarbrough in one of those sequences. Tallish and pretty Cherry Lawson, playing a policerookie, submits to a strip search and provides a hand and ball job (Margold's are about the size of a coconut) to police captain Margold in the other. This is the best scene of the quintet. Believe it, or not.

In other action, Louise Armani and Nikki Sinn do a lesbian scissor-lock on one other; Beatrice Valle and Scarbrough play a game of exchange student while the scene between Stephanie Duvall and Dick Nasty is a generous example of the law of inertia in effect. If boredom had a merit badge, Duvall and Nasty would be eagle scouts. Perhaps they have paired off one time too many.
