Porn is in love with the talking head. Blame it on the Dark Bros., I suppose, but the solo narration device has surpassed the casting couch and is fast overtaking the facial cumshot as a porn cliche.

There's some improvement when the narrator is seen head-to-toe; some more when s/he moves around, and even more when the visual package is as delectable as newcomer Veronica Sage; but, almost immediately, the upside potential for any video is circumscribed by this limiting device.

Visions of Desire, a nicely-lit but claustrophobic one-apartment studio shoot, is no exception. While Veronica wanders about her flat in a white body stocking, envisioning ex-boyfriend Peter North cheating on her and sexually humiliating her, she contributes a pretentious voiceover that has me wondering what that slight accent of hers is — because I have no interest in what she's saying — not her fault, but scripter Cash Markman's, let me hasten to add.

The sex, however, is worth the in-between. North goes at it with Bunny Bleu, and surprisingly, it's a steamy scene, with Ms. Bleu convincingly building to a couple of boob-shaking climaxes. And she looks good in flattering lighting, too. Kaitlyn Ashley pulls off two winners: a candlelit bathtub girl/girler with Veronica, and a threeway with North and Marc Wallice (surprisingly, not a d.p., but a hot double-facial finish anyway).

Bionca and Jonathan Morgan get sorta dropped in, but make the most of it; and the concluding countertop tryst between Veronica and Wallice is short but sizzling. Veronica defies current porn convention — she's brunette, has a natural body, and doesn't shave her pubes — and comes out a winner on each count. While this vid doesn't showcase her hottest sex performances (check out her anal scene with Alex Sanders in Vidmax'sBoogie In The Butt, for instance), it's another step in showcasing an all-around talent worth watching.
