Janine and Kelly Jaye strutting their stuff on the boxcover for Channel Blonde is nearly worth three As alone, which is why the final rating for this Bud Lee feature is so unsatisfying. Sure the Vivid women are-drop dead gorgeous and sure the sex scenes are wonderfully choreographed, but ultimately, what this video lacks is pure passion.
Jaye, for her part, shines as an ad exec in charge of wooing accounts owned by Randy West. Jaye's first task is to deal with assistant Nick East's news that her creative director has gone too far with a soap commercial. Jaye is initially awkward with her dialogue, but her shortlived stage fright is quickly forgotten when she indulges in a scrumptiously lengthy, and even slightly angry, face-sitting with East as the lucky recipient. Too bad some of her moans are obviously dubbed.
Heather Lee and Buck Adams star in one of the allegedly too-sexy commercials, which is partially shot through a steamy window. Backed by a monotonous score, Lee slathers her studded tongue up Adams' shaft, who then rams Lee's ass like a piston. As it turns out, the commercial is just what West is looking for, so creative director D. Bober cues up an ad for the "Friends and Lovers Hot-Line." In a scene that's strong in the middle but soft at the ends, Shelby Stevens shows off her new dye job by getting nailed from behind by Ian Daniels while munching on Isis Nile's muff.
By the third commercial, Jaye is so turned on that she interjects herself into a massage scene with Janine. This is Jaye's first girl/girl experience, and she couldn't ask for a better coach. (There a nice eight-minute clip at the end of the vid that documents director Lee and Janine easing Jaye through her anxiety.) Janine douses Jaye with oil and arouses her with deft strokes, letting the intensity build for the better half of the scene. Janine finally breaks through and tongues Jaye, and soon the pair is engaged in a lusty 69.
Appearance-wise, Janine and Jaye are simply unparalleled together, but in attempting to give the scene the feel of a commercial, director Lee ends up stifling the sexual intensity. The scene looks more like a staged show than Jaye's ultimate lesbian fantasy, as Jaye's ass bounces unnaturally to the beat of the music while Janine turns in her patented, albeit highly provocative, dancer moves a la Blonde Justice.
Jaye fares much better in the real world when she finally gets to meet West in person. In a sensuous seduction scene that features good close-ups, West pulls out all his oral tricks, turning his tongue into a mini vibrator; Jaye in turn ends up shaking and moaning as she rides West's cock. Less gloss and more steam and heat would've kicked this feature up a notch or so, but even so, after watching her performance, there is no doubt that Jaye is worthy of her "Vivid Girl" label. Her disarming presence coupled with her inherent sexual talents should keep her at near the top.
