Once upon a time, Janine and then-gal-pal Julia Ann were not only a frequent on-screen (and supposedly offscreen) couple, they were also the dance duo "Blondage." When they had finished tearing up strip clubs all across the country, Vivid released Blondage to capitalize on the act's high-profile success. Equal parts dance footage and sex, the video is only moderately successful as a porn feature. The disc itself also leaves something to be desired. While it has all the usual Vivid extras, Vivid often skirts the edge when compiling its DVDs, balancing picture quality with additional features. Blondage was certainly bitten by the compression bug, as several darker scenes have moderate pixelation problems.

Excuse me as I proceed to recommend multiple AVN nominations for a fine piece of erotica that just misses a five "A" status.

The girls throw in one more dance number including leather, and use of a bridle. The dance is great, of course, but what we really needed was one more sex scene. Even another girl/girl would have worked, but this time it's more tenderness, aiming to soothe the emotional wounds. The absence of a great plot/script, and the feeling of being short on sex in favor of one too many dance routines cause this tape to miss a five "A" rating. However, this project has superior direction, videography, editing, and for the most part, good music. Nominations should follow for these technical aspects as well.

I highly recommend this refreshingly well-done video. It will be one of the ones to beat in January
