Producing a successful video with a cast that's not on the same wavelength as the program, is like picking up mercury with chopsticks. It ain't gonna happen. Unfortunately, this is the case with Rainbows, an all-girl tape, that imparts a certain degree of fumbling nonchalance on the part of everyone involved.
Jeanna Fine does a mysterious intro to each vignette, linking colors to moods, with each of the participants in that scene wearing those colors. It's an interesting idea that goes nowhere real quick because we get the impression the girls are improvising their lines, and awkwardly at that - check out the Jenna Wells scenario with K.C. Williams where Jenna's supposed to be a prison warden. The set is all wrong for the premise. Jenna is tentative in her delivery, and less than perfect editing cuts down on the heat factor.
The Raven/Jenna Wells scene where they're both consoling one another over men who are "assholes" is fairly cliche-riddled and average. In their threeway, Bianca Trump, Miyagi and Jeanna Fine are laid back in their chairs like they're viewing Bugsy instead of having an active sex scene, and to make matters worse, the orgy finale is abrupt, and cut off way too early.
This leaves the Jeanna Fine/Raven scene as the one bright spot. Sound-wise it might have been shot in a wine cellar, but Raven does some serious physical overpowering of Fine with dialogue straight out of a catfight tape. By far, the best scene in this selection.
