It's been overheard that Sean Michaels touts himself as the Spike Lee of adult video, which isn't a bad analogy – they're both serious, ambitious – and wordy as hell. But when Michaels quits loading his cast with an abundance of mediocre dialogue and lets them go carnally crazy, the heat rises measurably.
So is the case with Body of Innocence. Rebecca Bardoux stars as a new employee at an accounting firm, who shakes their authoritarian style to its very foundation with her hypersexual presence. Byron and Jacme are the first to feel it, abandoning their number crunching in favor of an ass-fingering, pussy-slapping melee; Bardoux reduces obnoxious T.T. Boy to a grateful pup; and melts the arctic heart of boss lady Lacy Rose with an icy surprise. Eventually the whole office parties in an orgy finale, lensed in a moody atmosphere of sweaty, writing bodies – and a d.p. for Rebecca.
The action is generally hot, but those dull dialogue scenes need trimming. The pastel tones of the attractive boxcover should arouse customer interest.
